Called the morning of 05/20/24 and was able to get an appointment with Kelsi Anderson for the afternoon. I am 2 hrs away and really needed to see someone. During my appointment, she referred me to Dr. Barrett Brown. I was so thankful he managed to have time in his schedule to come and examine my issues and speak with me while I was still there. Dr. Barrett Brown is a very fine physician. He is also a friend. While he is a surgeon he said this about my horribly painful shoulder.

First we will try an injection performed by our specialist using ultra sound. (It was painless.) If that does not relieve your pain we will do a cat scan to evaluate the rotator cuff. Last resort is surgery. He is kind and patient with a very pleasant bedside manner. I highly recommend him!

Highly recommend Dr Brown!!! He took time to answer all questions without rushing… I called his office in severe pain and received the in- office MRI and Dr appt the next day then Dr Brown explained my condition and I was booked for surgery with their on-site hospital days later… the surgery went great and I was treated great by all staff… They have valet service as well… thanks Dr Brown and all staff!!!

I had a rotator cuff repair with Dr. Brown. Everyone at this hospital from the registration staff, pre-op nurse, surgery staff, recovery room nurse, the anesthesiologist, and of course, the surgeon, Dr. Brown were all professional and caring. The anesthesiologist gave me a nerve block before my surgery and it worked excellent! Great experience overall at The Texas Orthopedic Hospital once again! Many thanks to Dr. Brown, and his office staff for taking great care of me.

I have, unfortunately, been a frequent visitor to the Fondren Orthopedic clinic as I cannot seem to stay on my feet 😅. My most recent experience with Dr. Brown has been nothing short of excellent. From the initial exam to surgery and then the follow up and discussion of how I am healing have been extremely thorough and communication has been a 10. I would definitely recommend.

My new ACL and meniscus surgery was in October ‘23 and I have been very happy. I’ve had some pain but manageable with ibuprofen. Recovery has been steady with the help of Dr. Brown and physical therapy. I’m glad I found Dr. Brown.

A-1 service! I wouldn’t go anywhere else for Orthopedic surgery. The staff is very friendly and knowledgeable and not to mention Dr. Barrett Brown’s excellent bedside manners and outstanding compassion for his patients. Hands down the best Hospital!

Dr Brown is great. He consulted on another surgery for me and then cleaned up the rest of my knee a few months later. He explained all the options, including projected recovery times, and then made his recommendation. He didn’t pressure me one way or another. He’s personable and not condescending.

The most important thing is he did a great job and I’m walking without pain. I would recommend him to anyone.
